Your confidentiality is important for us. This is why we are completely transparent in respect of the personal data we collect and process.

Who collects and processes your data? 

Your personal data are collected and processed by MarieStephanie S.R.L., a limited liability company headquartered in 35 Garii str., Videle, Teleorman county, registered with the Trade registry under no. J34/462/2019, sole registration code 41048448 in accordance with the Romanian legislation on the data processing, including Regulation (UE) 2016/679 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (the “Regulation”).

What types of data are collected?

We collect the data you make available to us, e.g. when you subscribe to our newsletter or place an order. The personal data provided may include e.g. name, address, date of birth, preferred language, payment information, placed orders.

Some information may be collected as well during your visit on our website. Such information shall be processed in a certain scope that shall be communicated to you at the latest at the collection time, e.g. for saving the shopping list you created or for saving a product in the Wish list. In such case, failure to provide the respective data may limit your possibility to purchase online or may adversely affect your shopping experience.

Likewise, we may collect certain personal data you voluntarily decide to share with us.

How do we use personal data?

We may use personal data for one of the following purposes:

a) To create and manage your personal account and to perform the contract to which you are a party;

b) To fulfill your orders and generate documents related to such orders, e.g. invoices, based on the contract to which you are a party;

c) To answer your questions and to inform you on new products/services, with the aim of advertising MarieStephanie products;

d) To send you marketing communications, such as newsletters, exclusively based on your consent in this regard;

e) To perform analysis with the aim of offering relevant information and offers, with the interest of advertising/improving the advertising of MarieStephanie products;

f) To invite you to surveys for the improvement of our products with the interest of advertising/improving the advertising of MarieStephanie products and services.

All personal data are deemed confidential and correspondently protected.

We will keep the data as long as necessary for the fulfillment of the above purposes or as imposed by law. Subsequently, all data shall be deleted.

What rights do you have?

a) Right of access to personal data – you may require to confirm if your personal data are processed or not by MarieStephanie and, if positive, you may require access to such data, as well as information on such (e.g. the purposes of the processing and the types of processed data, the subjects or categories of subjects to which the data were disclosed, the duration of the processing or the criteria used for the determination of such duration, the existence of certain rights under law, the source of data, etc.). Upon request, we shall deliver of copy of the processed personal data.

b) Right to rectify the personal data – you may obtain the correction of incorrect personal data or the supplementation of incomplete data.

c) Right to restrict the personal data processing – in line with the applicable law (e.g. in case of challenging of the correctness of the personal data for the period necessary to verify such correctness, etc.), you may obtain the restriction of the processing of the personal data. Such restriction means that MarieStephanie shall only store the personal data, but shall not process such data unless you give your consent or if required by law (mainly, for the establishment, exercise or defense of a right in court or for the protection of the rights of another natural or legal person).

d) Right to delete the personal data – in line with the applicable law (e.g. in case the personal data are no longer necessary for the purpose based on which such were collected), you may obtain the deletion of such data.

e) Right to refuse the processing of personal data – at any moment you may refuse the processing of personal data for reasons related to your personal situation, in certain cases in line with the applicable law (mainly, if the processing is based on our legitimate interest).

f) Right of transfer of the personal data ¬– in line with the applicable law (namely, if the processing of personal data is made with automatic tools and is based on the performance of a contract or your consent) you may receive the personal data you provided in a structured form, automatically readable, and you may require for such data to be transferred to another operator.

g) Additional rights related to the automatic decisions ¬– you are entitled to not be subject to automatic decisions. In case MarieStephanie takes automatic decisions on the processing of your personal data, you may (a) obtain the human intervention on such processing, (b) submit your position on such processing, (c) obtain explanations on the decision made and (d) challenge the respective decision.

h) Right to challenge – to the extent you have suffered a harm through the collection and processing of personal data, you are entitled to submit a challenge in front of the competent court of law or the data protection authority.

Where are the data stored?

The data we collect are stored in secure environments, protected from the unauthorized access, disclosure, use, amendment or destruction by legal or natural persons. Data may be stored in the European Economic Zone or outside. Any transfer of personal data shall be made in strict compliance with the data protection laws.

Who is entitled to access your data?

Your data may be transmitted to our subcontractors (electronic payment services providers, curriers, IT services providers, marketing companies). We will never transfer, assign or sell to third parties your personal data except for the offering of MarieStephanie products.
